OROVILLE, Calif. - Camp Fire survivors who receive CalFresh EBT cards to help pay for food need to budget carefully, said Butte County Public Information Officer Casey Hatcher on Saturday. She said the February benefits are coming in early, and may already be loaded on the EBT cards.

The February benefits are all being distributed in January, and there will be no further CalFresh payments until March. The benefits are being provided early due to the government shutdown.

February benefits may have shown up on your EBT card already, or it could happen by Sunday, Jan. 20, 2019.

Hatcher says people need to be careful to stretch the CalFresh benefits all the way through February so they do not come up short at the end of next month.
