House fire in south Oroville knocked down, Cal Fire says

Cal Fire crews knocked down a house fire in South Oroville Tuesday afternoon.

UPDATE: 3:17 p.m. Tuesday, April 13, 2021 – Cal Fire Butte County Fire and Oroville City Fire crews were able to knock down a house fire in South Oroville Tuesday afternoon.

John Gaddie with Cal Fire said the fire broke out around 2:15 p.m. on Crest Ridge Dr and Las Plumas Way in South Oroville.

Two adults and a child escaped the house before firefighters arrived on scene. Firefighters were able to knock down the fire quickly holding most of the major damage to the kitchen, Gaddie said.

Firefighters rescued two cats and two dogs, however, one cat is still missing, Gaddie said.
