Cal Fire puts out small fire near Cottonwood

Cal Fire Tehama-Glenn Unit put out a five-acre fire southeast of Cottonwood on Monday.

COTTONWOOD, Calif. - A five-acre fire was contained late Monday afternoon southeast of Cottonwood, according to the Cal Fire Tehama-Glenn Unit.

The fire took place at the 1600 block of Evergreen Road off of Old Gold Road, according to the Tehama-Glenn unit.


Alert Wildfire Camera was able to capture the Evergreen fire on Monday.

Cal Fire said the cause of the fire is unknown.

The fire could be seen from the Alert Wildfire Camera.

Crews contained the fire by 5 p.m. and remained on the scene for a few hours.
