RANCHO TEHAMA, Calif. - CAL FIRE crews worked to put out a structure fire burning in Rancho Tehama early Thursday morning.

Investigators say that fire was caused by a wood stove at a structure on the 7000 block of Red Oaks Rd. That fire remained contained to the structure of origin.

CAL FIRE said firefighters will remain on scene for several hours and reminds everyone to have their wood stoves and fireplaces cleaned properly before using.

The first weekend of autumn was pleasant for northern California, but our relatively tranquil weather will change soon. A Pacific storm is approaching the West Coast, and it will bring our area rain showers and gusty wind soon.
