SHASTA COUNTY, Calif - As of Monday, Nov. 18, CAL FIRE is lifting its burn restriction in Shasta County.

Residential or Agricultural burns are now allowed in the county with the appropriate permit.

It also must be a burn permissible day according to CAL FIRE.

People can now apply for those online, CLICK HERE.

As for the city of Redding, the Redding Fire Department is saying they are not ready to lift the “No Burn” restriction yet.

One of the big reasons according to the city is they have only received 2% of their yearly average of precipitation and there is no meaningful rain in the near future.

Once there is a significant amount of rainfall the city of Redding said they will lift that restriction.

We had beautiful weather around northern California on Friday with sunshine and more warmth. Saturday will also be fantastic, so get out and enjoy it! A welcome change to our very dry weather pattern is coming soon.
