TEHAMA COUNTY, Calif. - Antelope Elementary School will be closed from Aug. 30 to Sept. 3 due to the high number of COVID-19 cases, according to the Antelope Elementary School District.
The school district is aiming for a return to on-site learning on Sept. 7.
Healthy staff will be on campus throughout the week to provide meals to go and teachers will be available by phone, Remind, Class-Tag or Google Meet.
Parents can pick up student work at the AES cafeteria Monday from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. for TK to second-grade students. Third to fifth-grade student work will be available from 10 to 11:30 a.m.
Parents will kids in both age groups can pick up at the latter window to avoid making two trips.
For parents who can not make the pickup Monday morning can come between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. Monday evening.
Meals will be given out from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Monday and for Tuesday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Cascade Union Elementary School District said Anderson Middle School will be closed due to a staffing shortage.
Anderson Heights, Meadow Lane School and Tree of Life will be open.
