You're going to want to bundle up before you head out the door this morning, but you can feel free to leave your umbrella at home today. Dry and frigid conditions are ahead for the start of your Tuesday. A Frost Advisory will be in place for the valley through 9am this morning. Skies are mostly clear, and winds are only up to 10mph out of the North this morning. Tempertures have dipped into the low to mid 30's in the valley overnight, and into the single digits to 20's in the mountains. Winds will stay out of the North to around 10mph today, and humidity will dip to around 30 percent. High temperatures are expected to be warmer than Monday. Temperatures are projected to top out in the mid to high 50's in the valley this afternoon, and into the high 30's to mid 40's in the mountains.
A cold and wet system is projected to drop down into Northern California from the Pacific Northwest overnight tonight. Light showers and low snow levels are expected on Wednesday. Looks like we can expect snow levels to dip to around 1500' on Wednesday afternoon, and then down to around 1000' by the time showers are wrapping up on Thursday. The majority of the showers will be in the mountains, but valley areas will likely have periods of very light showers. Even the areas that see the majority of the rain and snow will have less than impressive totals. Most of Northern California will dry out by mid day Thursday, but some showers could linger in the Sierra. We'll be dry on Friday, but another wet system will be likely on Saturday and Sunday. Showers are expected to stay light. Temperatures will top out in the mid 50's in the valley over the next week, and will dip into the high 20's to mid 30's for low temperatures over the next 7 days. Looks like any showers this weekend will be very light, and will wrap up by the start of next week.
