According to the California Highway Patrol, a Wednesday morning crash, on Reservoir Road in unincorporated Butte County, sent several people to the hospital.

According to authorities, at around 7:20 a.m., a brown truck was parked on shoulder of road, waiting for the school bus, when a green van crashed into the back of it.

The van was driving northbound on Reservoir Road, south of Palermo, and wasn't able to stop in time, hitting the parked truck.

Two adults and four children in the van. Three people from the crash were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

The CHP says wet roadways from overnight rain and driving at a high speed may have been factors in this crash.

It took a few hours, but the sun broke through the clouds over most of northern California Tuesday afternoon. The low clouds, fog and light rain showers return to the valley Wednesday, with snowy weather in the mountains.
