CHP Hosting 'Tip a Chippie' for Breast Cancer Awareness Month

California Highway Patrol officers are helping raise awareness for breast cancer research by becoming waiters at one Chico restaurant and collecting tips for the American Cancer Society.

CHICO, Calif. - California Highway Patrol officers are helping raise awareness for breast cancer research by becoming waiters at one Chico restaurant and collecting tips for the American Cancer Society.

The one-day event will be Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. at Pete's Restaurant located at 2495 Carmichael Dr, Chico.

All the tips collected will go towards for research for breast cancer and a special appetizer will be on the menu, all proceeds from that also go to the cause.

Officers will be in full uniform and some wearing pink for the "Real Men Wear Pink" initiative.
