CALIFORNIA - We're in the middle of the rainy season, but that doesn't mean CAL FIRE is not already thinking about the upcoming fire season and the agency wants all of us to be ready.

For those of you familiar with the "Ready for Wildfire" information found online and on your mobile phones, get ready for an upgrade.

Coming Monday, January 13, the current app is going away and will be replaced with an upgraded version. We'll be able to load personalized information about fire readiness plans for where we live and receive active incident information.

There will also be the choice to opt-in for text alerts that can help keep you safe.

We've had a mostly sunny valley with a few more clouds over the mountains today, but it's been another beautiful day with warmer highs than yesterday. Much warmer weather is headed our way this weekend... enjoy, but stay cool!
