CAL FIRE responds to fire burning in rice field

UPDATE: The fire is contained at 80 acres, and all resources are released, according to CAL FIRE.

BUTTE COUNTY, Calif. - Fire crews are at the scene of an 80-acre fire in a rice field on Nelson road.

The fire is contained at 80 acres, and all resources are released, according to CAL FIRE.

CAL FIRE said the fire is in between Durham and Richvale.

Crews began responding to the fire around 1:50 p.m., they are calling this the Nelson Fire.
