ANDERSON, Calif. - CAL FIRE is on the scene of a brush fire on Livolsi Drive in Anderson.

The fire started around 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, due to improperly discarded ashes from a fireplace, CAL FIRE said. The fire was estimated around an acre.

CAL FIRE added that there was a large response to the fire due to it being so close to homes. Crews said the fire is under control and they remain on scene mopping up.
