CAL FIRE investigating string of 7 fires in Burney

When CAL FIRE responded to a call of a fire on Highway 299 near Burney on Monday night, they found a string of seven fires.

BURNEY, Calif. - Cal Fire Shasta Unit responded to a fire in Burney just before midnight on Monday.

When firefighters arrived on the scene, they found a string of seven fires burning in the area.

The fires burned less than a tenth of an acre on Monday night.

The fires were located on Highway 299 near Tamarack Road near the Sierra Pacific Industries.

CAL FIRE said the fires are under investigation and anyone with information is asked to call the CAL FIRE Prevention Office at (530) 448-2466.
