CAL FIRE contains 3 acre Oroville vegetation fire

CAL FIRE contained a three-acre vegetation fire in Oroville Monday afternoon.

OROVILLE, Calif. - CAL FIRE Butte County contained a three-acre vegetation fire in Oroville, CAL FIRE said.

The fire was near 20th Street and Russel Proctor Way. 

The fire did not threaten any structures. 

CAL FIRE received a call about the fire at 1:39 p.m. Monday and was able to get the fire contained in 10 minutes. 

Firefighters will remain on the scene for about an hour. 

CAL FIRE called the fire the Oroville Fire.

Gusty winds and very dry conditions will drive high fire danger across northern California on Thursday. We'll also end up much cooler on Thursday afternoon. Lighter winds, hotter temperatures, and more widespread impacts to air quality are ahead for Friday and Saturday.
