TEHAMA COUNTY, Calif. - CAL FIRE is asking the public for help in locating fire equipment stolen out of Tehama County.

According to CAL FIRE's Tehama-Glenn Unit, the equipment was stolen near Highway 36 approximately 2 miles east of Dales Station. Fire officials believe it was stolen between 9 p.m. on July 26, 2019, and 6:40 a.m. on July 27, 2019.

An orange, portable 2,000-gallon pumpkin tank was stolen, according to officials. The tank has “CAL FIRE” and “2000 GAL” stenciled on it in white letters. There was also a chrome gated wye attached to the tank. See a picture of the tank below.

The value of the portable tank is estimated to be approximately $1,500.

Anyone who finds the portable tank or has information on its whereabouts is asked to contact Battalion Chief Mark Frits at 530-528-5199.
