Fill a boot and help out a major non-profit organization.

CAL FIRE held another “Fill the Boot” campaign in Magalia to raise money for the muscular dystrophy association.

Firefighters held out boots by Skyway and Ponderosa to collect donations.

CAL FIRE engineer, Jesse Vander-Griff, said all the money raised goes towards local kids with muscle diseases.

CAL FIRE has had “Fill the Boot” campaigns in Chico, Paradise, Oroville and Gridley.

Firefighters in Magalia raised a little under $5,000.

In total, more than $48,000 has been raised over this year for the MDA.
