BUTTE COUNTY, Calif. - CAL FIRE has been busy fighting fires in Butte County Saturday.
During the 4:00 hour they have been responding to Berry Creek, to the Vista Fire located at Oro Vista and Bean Creek Road. Public Information Officer Rick Carhart told Action News Now a metal storage type of container box was destroyed by fire, but it did not spread to nearby vegetation.
During the 3:00 hour CAL FIRE saved several homes on Cherokee Road when a vegetation fire got out of hand. They were able to stop the Dutzell Fire at four acres. One trailer and one outbuilding were destroyed.

Another fire CAL FIRE Butte Unit responded to earlier Saturday was the Yankee Fire, which was held at a quarter acre.
