Butte Strong Fund approves two grants to help house Camp Fire survivors

Two grants worth a total of $750,000 was approved to help house Camp Fire survivors.

BUTTE COUNTY, Calif. - $750,000 worth of grants were approved by the Butte Strong Fund for two housing programs for Camp Fire survivors, according to the North Valley Community Foundation.

Chico Housing Action Team (CHAT) will get a grant worth $500,000 to help at least 120 households over two years get housing.

The Volunteers Rebuilding Our Community (VROC) received approval for a $250,000 grant.

CHAT’s Camp Fire Housing Model Program has helped 81 households get homes.

The North Valley Community Foundation has awarded more than $42 million for recovery through the Camp Fire funds.
