Butte County, Calif.--Public works crews with Butte County said they've been monitoring this weather system and have been preparing the last few days by making sure all the equipment is operating. All of that equipment has been distributed in areas they think will need it.

Beginning at 5 a.m. Thursday, Chico and Paradise crews will be sent to Cohasset, Butte Meadows, Magalia and Stirling City.

Then at 6:30 a.m., two crews from Oroville and Gridley will be sent to the Concow area.

With heavy winds expected, PG&E said that if there is a downed power line near you, you should call them at 1-800-743-5002.

It's been a warm and windy day for northern California with isolated showers breaking out over the higher terrain. We aren't done with the windy weather quite yet, but a quieter and warmer pattern is coming soon.
