CHICO, Calif. - Several Butte County law enforcement agencies gathered for a peace officer memorial at the Neighborhood Church Thursday.

The Butte Law Enforcement Support Team, Chico Police Honor Guard and Paradise Chaplains Association participated in the ceremony, along with many others.

The ceremony was to honor active officers and Butte County's fallen officers from 2018.

President Kennedy first made the national holiday in 1962, calling it "Natonal Peace Officers Memorial Day."
