Butte County detectives arrest suspect in connection to 2017 homicide

Detectives with the Butte County Sheriff's Office arrested a suspect in connection to a homicide case from 2017.

BUTTE COUNTY, Calif. - Detectives with the Butte County Sheriff's Office arrested a suspect in connection to a homicide case from 2017.

Due to information gathered during the investigation into the death of Lorenzo Paz II, detectives arrested Jeffrey Parrish, 31, of Oroville. 

He was arrested on Tuesday at a home in the 2600 block of V6 Road in Oroville. He was charged with homicide in the death of Paz II. 

Parrish was booked into Butte County Jail with no bail. 

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call the Butte County Sheriff's Office at (530) 538-7671.
