BUTTE COUNTY, Calif. - Butte County's Clerk-Recorder/Registrar of Voters, Candace Grubbs, has announced an extension until Wednesday for people to file with the county to run for the following offices:

Durham Unified School District (Three positions open as Governing Board members)

El Medio Fire Protection District (Three Director positions open)

Richvale Recreation and Park District (Two Director positions open)

Richvale Sanitary District (Three Director positions open)

Buzztail Community Services District (Three Director positions open)

Berry Creek Community Service District (Two Director positions open)

The reason the filing periods have been extended until Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. is because incumbents are not running for the offices listed in this story.

Friday was a quieter weather day for much of northern California with a wide range of temperatures from morning to afternoon, and wind that wasn't quite as strong. Saturday will also be quiet, but much higher fire danger returns Sunday.
