The Butte County Toy Run marks it's 30th year Saturday, December 2nd ... With an estimated 500 motorcycle riders expected to take part.
The gathering begins at 9 a.m. at the Silver Dollar Fairgrounds in Chico, with the ride getting underway at 11 a.m.
There will be donuts and coffee, and participants are asked to bring donations of toys and gift cards. It all goes to hundreds of children in foster care, for Christmas. They are distributed by Childrens Services of Butte County.
The ride will wind through Durham and up through Paradise, ending with lunch at the Calvary Chapel in Magalia.
Childrens Services is sending out a big thank you to Ron Hall of the former Halls Harley Davidson and Pastor Dave Sweet with Calvary Chapel, who have served as President and Treasurer of the Butte County Toy Run organization for 30 years and will be stepping down this year.
You don't have to be a motorcycle rider to donate to the cause, you can drop off toys and gift cards Saturday morning at the Silver Dollar Fairgrounds, or bring them by Calvary Chapel in Paradise or Sierra Steel Harley Davidson in Chico.
