Butte County Sheriff makes 12 arrests in burglary investigation

Twelve were arrested in Oroville following a Butte County Sheriff investigation into an extensive residential burglary.

OROVILLE, Calif. - Twelve were arrested in Oroville following a Butte County Sheriff investigation into an extensive residential burglary.

Detectives say they located evidence showing Kenneth Williams of Oroville was involved in the burglary, leading them to serve a search warrant at his home on Oct. 22.

The home, located on the 2220 block of Ithaca Street, is where detectives say they found property taken during the burglary.

Williams was arrested for three felony counts of burglary and violation of probation.

Vanessa Trew was also arrested at the home for possession of narcotics paraphernalia and for violation of probation.

During the investigation, detectives say they learned more property taken was located at a home on Oro-Bangor Highway.

On Oct. 29, detectives served a search warrant to the 3400 block of Oro-Bangor Highway where they found multiple pieces of evidence.

Detectives say items found on the property included stolen property from the burglary, a stolen vehicle, heroin, methamphetamine, marijuana, narcotics paraphernalia, and ammunition.

At this time, detectives say the Butte County Code Enforcement determined the property unsafe and prevented anyone from living on the property.

Arrests at this address were:

  • Jeremiah Lee (Oroville, 37) was arrested for an arrest warrant for possession of stolen property, violation of a court order, failing to appear, and for possession of narcotics paraphernalia.
  • Christopher Kent (Oroville, 46) was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, and for possession of narcotics paraphernalia.
  • Bennie Johnson (Oroville, 61) was arrested for an arrest warrant, possession of a controlled substance, and for possession of narcotics paraphernalia.
  • Brandon Johnson (Oroville, 38) was arrested for being a prohibited person in possession of ammunition.
  • Heather Lee (Oroville, 35) was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, and for possession of narcotics paraphernalia.
  • Shoua Vang (Oroville, 39) was arrested for violation of parole, and for possession of narcotics paraphernalia.
  • Robin Ridley (Oroville, 64) was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, and for possession of narcotics paraphernalia.
  • Ansonia Campbell (Oroville, 40) was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, and for possession of narcotics paraphernalia.
  • Sou Vang (Oroville, 36) was arrested for possession of narcotics paraphernalia, and possession of stolen property.
  • Ong Thao (Oroville, 30) was arrested for possession of narcotics paraphernalia.
