Butte County Public Health announces COVID-19 death in young adult

Butte County Public Health (BCPH) announced the first COVID-19 death to occur in a young adult.

BUTTE COUNTY, Calif. - Butte County Public Health (BCPH) announced the first COVID-19 death to occur in a young adult.

Health officials said the individual was in the 18 to 24 year old range. The patient passed away while in the hospital.

This is the youngest member of the Butte County community to succumb to their COVID-19 infection, according to BCPH.

The total number of deaths in Butte County, due to COVID-19 is 44. The total number of confirmed cases in the county is 2,774, with 2,626 recoveries.
