Butte County, Calif.—Butte County’s been pushing for more tourism, so the planning officials are encouraging short term rentals like Air B and B’s.
The planning officials have received several complaints from neighbors around those rental units about noise.
Parking is another major concern near the rental units.
The Planning Commission may ban on-street parking for renters.
The Planning Commission could also start enforcing quiet times and occupancy rates.
An ordinance has been drafted for public review.
The Planning Commission is also holding a workshop on short term rentals Thursday morning at 9 a.m. in the Butte County Board of Supervisors room at the County Administration Center, 25 County Center Drive in Oroville.
The meeting is open to the public and are encouraged to attend and provide comment to the Planning Commission.
