The Butte County Bomb Squad showed up at a Chico elementary school today, but there was no danger just some learning.

The fifth graders at Parkview School have been studying robots and today they got to watch the real thing right in front of their eyes.

The butte inter-agency bomb squad showed off their robots and demonstrated how they work, and what they're capable of doing.

Parkview School emphasizes learning in science, technology, engineering, and math so these students already knew a lot about the subject.

The school principle said, "When they do the investigation and research on robots it's one thing but when they have the experience to see hands on a real career that makes the connection to them as to why they're studying stem."

The bomb squad spent about an hour with the two classes answering questions and showing off their robots.
