BUTTE COUNTY, Calif. - The New "Butte Choice Energy Authority" is pushing forward on plans to provide an alternative to PG&E for electric service.
A new website has just been launched with what you need to know about the Community Choice Aggregation Program (CCA) and what it means for people who live in the City of Chico and in the unincorporated parts of Butte County.
Customers will be automatically enrolled, but can opt-out if they choose to continue buying power from PG&E.
PG&E will still deliver the electricity that is purchased by the Butte Choice Energy Authority from other sources and will remain doing the billing.
Butte Choice Energy Authority expects service to be available through the CCA program in the spring of 2021.
The website has been established with information about the CCA process, board meetings, and status updates.
