REDDING, Calif. - There's now more financial help for struggling businesses in California.
Businesses can start to apply for the California Small Business Covid-19 Relief grant today. The money for the grant comes from the state.
Businesses that already applied for paycheck protection program loans or other local grants are still eligible for the money.
Geraldine Whittemore, the owner of Memory Lane Antiques and Vintage, says she plans to apply for the grant.
Whittemore tells Action News Now that business has been pretty hard the past few months. She’s even had to dip into her savings to stay afloat
“We're still in need and there are so many people and businesses that are in bad, bad need,” said Whittemore.
“I was looking forward to it because we were not able to get any of the other loans so this one we're looking forward to it.”
Depending on their revenue, businesses can get $5000 to $25,000 dollars.
Business owners have until January 8 to apply. There will be another round to apply. But those dates have not yet been set.
