Breakdown of Measure A

The new 1% specific tax will be voted on March 3rd of 2020.

SHASTA COUNTY Calif. - Measure A is a proposed 1% specific sales tax in Shasta County that will go directly to public safety.

That 1% will bring in about 31-million dollars a year according to the county.

The county has broken it down in 3 ways:

  1. Police officers and deputies
  2. Jail bed space and rehabilitation
  3. And prosecution
