Boil Water Advisory Issued Following Carr Fire

Shasta CSD water customers are urged to boil water before consumption as a safety precaution following Carr Fire.

UPDATE 1:46 p.m. Monday, July 30, 2018 - Centerville CSD and Clear Creek CSD have been under boil water advisory since Friday, July 27.

SHASTA COUNTY, calif. - To keep up with the water demands in the distribution system of fighting the Carr Fire, they are bypassing the filtration system. Therefore, the State Water Resources Control Board, Division of Drinking Water and Shasta Community Services District are advising customers to use boiled tap water or bottled water for drinking and cooking purposes. 

Here are some instructions provided by Shasta CSD: 

- Bring all water to a boil, and let boil for one minute

- Let water cool before using 

All water should be boiled until further notice.
