Search for murder suspect in Colusa County, missing woman's body found

A manhunt and homicide investigation is underway in Colusa County after a missing woman's body was found in her car in a Woodland parking lot.

COLUSA COUNTY, Calif. - A manhunt and homicide investigation are underway in Yolo and Colusa Counties after a missing woman's body has been found.

Woodland Police have confirmed the body of missing Colusa woman, 21-year old Karen Garcia was discovered inside her car Sunday night in a Marshall's parking lot. Karen is the sister of one of the five people killed in a crash on Insterstate 5 in Yolo County January 7th. Karen was reported by her family as a missing person on January 9th.

The Sheriff's Office had received information that Karen's vehicle was in the Marshall's parking lot in Woodland. They say Karen's body and car were recovered at the scene.

The Colusa County Sheriff's Office now says they are searching for Salvado Garcia Jr. as their prime suspect. This after they searched Karen's home in Colusa, finding evidence of a murder. He is now wanted by law enforcement.
