ORLAND, Calif. - At a time when social distancing is encouraged, one family in Orland got creative and held a birthday parade for their son Thursday evening.
The whole parade was dedicated to Jacob Fleharty, who turned seven.
Dozens of cars lined up the streets near Orland High School.
People were throwing candy, handing Jacob gifts and singing Happy Birthday!
"I got to see my friends and it was like a parade," said Jacob Fleharty.
"I was just really happy to see how many people showed up to support my son," said Scott Fleharty, Jacob's dad.
Jacob was supposed to have a party this weekend, but that got canceled because social gatherings are banned by Governor Newsom's stay-at-home order.
Jacob told Action News Now it was the best day of his life!
