SHASTA COUNTY, Calif. - A 500-pound black bear injured during the Zogg Fire is back home in Shasta County.

This is the six-year-old bear back in his habitat this week.

He was recovering in Rancho Cordova from burns on all four paws after the California Department of Fish and Wildlife found him.
Officials said he could barely move and when he did, he was walking on his elbows.

He was treated with infrared laser therapy and tilapia fish skin bandages to promote healing.
