Traffic is slowing on Highway 44 due to a crash involving a vehicle and a bear Friday morning.

SHASTA COUNTY, Calif. - Traffic is slowing on Highway 44 due to a crash involving a vehicle and a bear Friday morning.

Caltrans District 2 first reported the crash around 8:35 a.m. about a half-mile east of Black Butte Road.
