BUTTE COUNTY, Calif. - The Butte County Sheriff's Office said a Live Oak man has been arrested for illegal sexual contact with a minor.
Officials say they recently learned Dominick Kelly had an illegal sexual relationship with a minor victim in the Oroville area.
Detectives did a follow-up investigation and on April 22, learned Kelly was at a home in Palermo. Officials say they went to the home with an arrest warrant and when Kelly saw them, he ran.
After a short foot pursuit, detectives were able to arrest the 25-year-old without incident.
During an interview with Kelly, detectives say he admitted to sexually abusing the victim. Officials say he also admitted to using multiple illegal drugs, like ecstasy, and allowed two minor victims to also use ecstasy.
Kelly was booked into the Butte County Jail for two felony counts of unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor victim, two felony counts of penetration with a foreign object on a minor victim, and four felony counts of oral copulation on a minor victim.
His bail is set at $600,000.
