UPDATE: 11:55 a.m. Friday, March 6, 2020 - The Butte County Sheriff's Office said 45-year-old Aaron Connors was arrested outside of Gold Country Casino in Oroville Thursday for the murder of his mother, 68-year-old Susan Robb. Robb was found Thursday evening dead in her home on the 4300 block of Keefer Road north of Chico.
A 9-1-1 call from a roommate of Susan Robb alerted deputies to the death. According to deputies, the caller said Robb appeared to have suffered a traumatic head wound. The caller also said Robb's vehicle was missing from the home.

The caller said a suspicious vehicle was parked in their yard. Deputies discovered the vehicle belonged to Aaron Connors, the son who had been allegedly estranged from his mother for a period of time, according to deputies.
Detectives located Connors at Gold Country Casino in Oroville. With the help of casino staff, Connors was placed under surveillance. Deputies were waiting in the parking lot near a vehicle belonging to Connors. Officers detained him after he came out of the casino.
