MAGALIA, Calif. – A Magalia man was arrested after deputies learned he was connected to two residential burglaries in the area, according to the Butte County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies said investigations proved that 37-year-old Joseph Patterson is responsible for a burglary in the 14000 block of Carnegie Road that deputies began investigating on December 23, 2019, and another that occurred in the 13000 block of South Park Drive on February 18, 2020.
After an extensive investigation for the Dec. 23 burglary, detectives said they obtained a warrant for Patterson’s arrest in March. On April 27, detectives located Patterson and placed him under arrest.
Patterson was then interviewed and booked for an additional count of residential burglary related to the Feb. 18 burglary.
Patterson was booked at the Butte County Jail on Monday, April 27 with his bail set at $65,000. The Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone with information about this investigation to contact Detective Vaj Thao at 530-538-7671.
