Action News Now reached out to Butte County Public Health public information officer, Lisa Almaguer.
She says, "Yes, this is concerning to have a young person with no underlying health conditions succumb to their illness. COVID can impact anyone, no matter their age. People of all ages are urged to be diligent about taking action to prevent COVID- don’t gather, wear a mask, stay home if sick, wash hands often. The Non-pharmaceutical interventions are the only defense we have right now."
