AUBURN, Calif. - Two Auburn teens are now safe and sound after being stuck in the Sierra overnight.

John Hansen and his girlfriend Mckenna Kelly got stuck in one of the worst storms of the season on a back country road when their car spun out.

Hansen walked through the snow to get help and was eventually able to call Placer County Search and Rescue.

Authorities were not able to reach Kelly and the car for hours.

"I really didn't know if either of us were going to make it, but as soon as I saw her come down that hill and I saw her on the front of that snowmobile my heart dropped," Hansen said.

Kelly was spotted by a snowmobiler near Forest Hill.

Both the teens are dealing with frostbite, but are expected to be OK.
