REDDING, Calif. - The Asphalt Cowboys said the loot was found Tuesday night at the yellow traffic barricade that is chained to the light pole in front of the Asphalt Cowboys clubhouse.

The person who found the loot has not been identified yet.

The Lone Strangers are still on the loose and if they're found the prize is $800.

Here is Wednesday's clue for the Lone Strangers:

"Running from the posse was easy,

pressed on all night they did.

Electing to plot their escape,

still under the stars they hid.

Anyone who thinks they know who the Lone Strangers are, contact the Asphalt Cowboys at 223-1188.

REDDING, Calif. – It is Rodeo Week in Redding and the Asphalt Cowboys staged their mock bank holdup Tuesday morning.
The Lone Strangers Heist was centered at the Post Office Saloon.

Now, clues will be given each day until the ‘Bandits’ are identified, and the $1,000 loot is found. Action News Now will be sharing them each day as well.

"This morning at approximately 8:45, two strangers wandered into the Post Office Saloon in downtown Redding demanding a sack full of money. The Asphalt Cowboys showed up on scene, but were quickly and swiftly outsmarted and thwarted by the strangers and they fled…with the loot. Now, it’s up to the great citizens of Shasta County to bring these two to justice and find the hidden loot. We are releasing a series of clues, left behind, to unmask the Lone Stranger and his or her accomplice and the location of the loot. There is reward money for whoever can identify the perps and find the loot. The reward goes down $200 every day that the clues are not solved."

Here is Tuesday’s Lone Stranger clue provided by the Asphalt Cowboys, for $1,000:

"As the standard chase ensued,

the Asphalt Cowboys faced rejection.

They lost them at the bluff

even though pointed in the right direction."

"The Strangers have emptied our Post Office,

the loot’s gone with them too.

Under the watchful eyes of Asphalt Cowboys,

who’s failure has left them blue."

The Asphalt Cowboys said if you find the loot, follow instructions included with the loot.

The Asphalt Cowboys said to remember, the loot is never hidden on private property, but always on public land. There is no digging or climbing needed to find the loot.

Get out and enjoy this beautiful weather tonight! If you do head out and plan to stay out late, probably bring an extra later to throw on for when the sun sets as temperatures will be cooling off into the low to mid 60s for the valley by midnight and low to mid 40s by tomorrow morning.
