REDDING, Calif. - The Asphalt Cowboys announced Thursday they are bringing back their famous Rodeo Week pancake breakfast this year.

The Asphalt Cowboys pancake breakfast is set to take place on Friday, May 14 at 5 a.m., according to Dave Tappan with the Asphalt Cowboys. The event was canceled in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Asphalt Cowboys said they have been working closely with Shasta County health officials to make sure that the event can be held safely. Tappan said the event will be held under different circumstances.

More details on the event and their 2021 schedule of the Rodeo Week events are expected to be released Tuesday, April 20, during a media luncheon.

The Asphalt Cowboys Annual Pancake Breakfast typically serves upwards of 10,000 people.
