The Good News Rescue Mission is hosting its 19th annual Christmas Celebration on Friday December 15th from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

There will be a children’s Christmas party from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

500 local families will be provided with gift bags that contain everything needed for a traditional Christmas dinner.

The Mission is still in need of 200-300 turkeys or hams to ensure they can provide for the list they have of local families in need.

This event is not just for the homeless. The public is invited regardless of economic or housing status. Community leaders and regular citizens stop by to volunteer, eat and celebrate the spirit of Christmas along with others who might not otherwise enjoy the holiday.

We're cooling down next week with the chance for rain. Before we get there, we look to stay sunny with mild temperatures.
