The Anderson Police Department said they will be following up on neighborhood complaints on a monthly basis, thanks to their "Problem-Oriented Policing Unit."

Anderson police said they began the enforcement on Friday night to deal with complaints from residents living in Anderson such as:

- Illegal campers
- Code enforcement issues
- Narcotics activity complaints

According to APD, often times the "POP" unit has a set of assigned targets geared to those nuisance complaints and so far the operation has made six arrests from about 20 contacts such as:

- Pedestrian checks
- Traffic stops
- Probation and parole searches

Slightly cooler high temperatures are ahead for your Tuesday, but the threat of mountain thunderstorms will keep fire danger high in some areas. Staying mild mid week, but dangerous heat returns this weekend.
