ANDERSON, Calif.- Anderson Police arrested a man who was wanted in Butte County for felony charges of corporal injury to a spouse, child abuse, and DUI.
According to police, the man was arrested after a standard traffic stop Monday night, when an officer pulled over a vehicle that had an equipment violation. When asked for identification, both the driver and passenger in the car did not provide I.D.
A man in the car gave a name and date of birth that returned to a real person, however, the officer was not convinced this was his true identity. After checking records, it was revealed that the man had given his cousins name and that his true identity was Jacob Nathaniel Osborne, 35, of Paradise.
Osborne was wanted on felony charges of corporal injury to a spouse, child abuse, and DUI. He was arrested and later admitted his true identity.
Osborne now faces additional charges of false impersonation and providing a false name to an officer.
