All but 1 evacuation order for Fawn Fire reduced to warnings

Officials have reduced most of the evacuation orders for the Fawn Fire.

SHASTA COUNTY, Calif. - CAL FIRE Shasta-Trinity Unit has updated the evacuation orders and warnings for the Fawn Fire.

The Fawn Fire is 65% contained and remains at 8,577 acres.

Officials said there is only one evacuation order remaining, which is for all areas north from Clikapudi Creek west from Wildcat Canyon and south from Juniper Dr.

The following areas are in evacuation warnings:

  • All homes and roads off of Old Oregon Trail from Bear Mountain Rd. and Union School Rd.
  • All homes and roads off the east side of Old Oregon Trail from Union School Road and Sunrise Dr.
  • All homes and roads off of Sunrise Dr. from Old Oregon Trail, Peace Valley Lane, Kitty Hawk Lane and north Quarry View Rd.
  • All roads west of Old Oregon Trail north of Bear Mountain Rd east of Kitty Hawk Lane and south of Quarry View Rd.
  • All areas south of Bear Mountain Rd. east of Creek Trail, north of Squaw Grass Trail and east to Dry Creek Rd.
  • All areas east of Old Oregon Trail, north and west of Bear Mountain Rd. between Kitty Hawk and Moss Drive
  • South from Chipeta Way east from Bear Mountain Rd., west to Charron Lane
  • All areas south of Bear Mountain Rd. west of Creek Trail north of Chipeta Way
  • All areas south of Bear Mountain Rd. east of Creek Trail, north of Squaw Grass Trail
  • West of Dry Creek Rd. and south of Bear Mountain Rd.
  • South of Clikapudi Creek, east of Dry Creek and north of Mirror Valley Lane
  • All areas south from Lake Shasta east from the West Fork of Stillwater Creek east from Bear Mountain Rd.
  • All areas east of Holiday Rd. north from Union School Rd. and West of Old Oregon Trail and Copper Canyon Rd.
  • East of Fawndale Rd. to the south end of Fawndale Rd. and to the north of Fawndale Rd.

People in warnings should stay aware of changing conditions. 

The following road closures remain in place:

  • Old Oregon Trail at Sunrise Rd.
  • Union School Trail at Ridge View Dr.
  • Old ORegon Trail at Bear Mountain Rd.
  • Bear Mountain Rd. at Dry Creek Rd is open for residents only
  • Bear Mountain Rd. at the Silverthorne and Jones Valley
