A new survey from AAA shows that a percentage of Americans think that driving high on marijuana is somewhat safe.

The AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety survey finds that more than 13% of American view driving within an hour after using marijuana as only "slightly dangerous" or "not dangerous at all."

The survey also shows that nearly 70% of respondents think a driver is unlikely to be caught by the police while driving within an hour after using marijuana.

Nationally, an estimated 14.9 million drivers report driving within one hour after using marijuana.

AAA recommends all motorists avoid driving while impaired by marijuana or any other drug, including alcohol, to avoid arrest and keep the roads safe.

A seasonably hot beginning to the workweek for northern California, and hotter weather is in the short term forecast, with very little relief in the long term.
