7 vehicles destroyed in fully-involved structure fire

CAL FIRE put out a commercial structure fire that broke out early Wednesday morning.

REDDING, Calif. - A stolen vehicle crashed into a commercial building that caught fire on Wednesday morning, according to CAL FIRE Shasta-Trinity Unit.

CAL FIRE said firefighters put out of a fully involved structure fire overnight after the fire broke out around 3:08 a.m.

The fire was at the 6900 block of Eastside Rd. in Redding and a vehicle crashed into a commercial building.

CAL FIRE said the vehicle was stolen and one person was taken to the hospital with burn injuries.

California Highway Patrol and Shasta County Sheriff’s Office are investigating the crash.

CAL FIRE said the fire destroyed the structure and seven vehicles.

Crews were at the scene until about 8 a.m.
