6 North State COVID-19 deaths reported Wednesday

Between Butte and Shasta counties, there were six new COVID-19 deaths on Wednesday.

NORTHERN CALIFORNIA - There have been six COVID-19 deaths reported in the North State on Wednesday.

Butte County Public Health reported three new COVID-19 deaths on Wednesday.

In Butte County, there are 121 people in the hospital with COVID-19.

Enloe Medical Center said it has 89 COVID-19 patients and 79% of them are not fully vaccinated. It said it has 16 patients in ICU.

89 patients is the hospital’s highest single-day total since the pandemic started.

There have been 232 confirmed COVID-19 deaths in Butte County.

Shasta County Health and Human Services (SCHHS) also reported three deaths on Wednesday.

SCHHS said a woman in her 60's, a man in his 70's and a woman in her 80's died from COVID-19. 

There are 83 people in the hospital in Shasta County with COVID-19, 17 are in ICU.

Shasta County has confirmed 282 COVID-19 deaths.

On Tuesday, there were five deaths in the North State.
