Stabbing at Chico Transit Center

Chico police say a stabbing occurred at the Transit Center on West 2nd Street in Chico.

CHICO, Calif. - A stabbing occurred Tuesday morning near the Transit Center on West 2nd Street in Chico.

A weapon has been recovered and a suspect was been arrested by the Chico Police Department.

At 11:40 a.m. on December 24, 2019 a stabbing incident was reported. When officers arrived at the location they discovered an adult male who had a laceration to his left knee.

The victim explained to officers that he been involved a verbal argument on the bus with a person that was known to him. The victim told police the argument escalated into a physical fight. The suspect had a knife and slashed at the suspect, causing a laceration to his knee.

The victim was treated at the scene and was then released.

The suspect was identified as 39-year-old Daisy Caspary of Chico. Caspary was arrested for Assault with a Deadly Weapon and was taken to the Butte County Jail.
